Heath Ledger as the Joker was inspired by Tom Waits
Thomas Alan “Tom” Waits (born December 7, 1949) is an American singer-songwriter, composer, and actor. Worked with Heath in another project and was said that he inspired Heath to play his role as the Joker in the Dark Knight. After watching the above video, all i said was…..OMG. The voice, the behaviors…Heath really did an amazing job in his role as the joker, now I believe that even more!

What’s really impressive about him, if you follow his work, is that he managed to get the top 10 drug companies to agree to share research on tropical diseases. He’s using his problem solving abilities and his influence to make sure that his money has a real impact. For as much as you may hate Microsoft (in case you do) I really think Gates should have won a Noble prize by now.

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSafat, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSafat event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. To create a platform where we can share and discuss ideas that have the potential, power and promise to make a difference in our lives, in our community, in the world and in Kuwait.
Speakers for this event will include Dr. Saad Al Barrak, Mrs. Maha Al Ghunaim, Sluiman Al Bassam, Sheikha Al Subah, Dr Ghanim Al Najar, Hussa Al Humaidi and Khalid Al Kulaib.
