Isla Mujeres is a Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, 13 kilometers off the coast from Cancún. It’s a holiday destination known for beaches such as northern Playa Norte, resort hotels and for snorkeling and scuba diving on the surrounding coral reefs. At Punta Sur, the southern tip, there’s a lighthouse, the remains of a Mayan temple and a sanctuary for sea turtles. – Wikipedia

Usually, please go to Isla Mujeres from Cancun by ferry.

  • It is recommended to go from mid-June to August to swim with wale sharks.
  • If you’re looking for sea turtles to come ashore, then aim to go around August and September. (If you like turtles, go to the island’s turtles farm)
  • High season in Isla Mujeres would be from December to April
