My stay at Manzil Hotel, Down Town Dubai

I was invited by Manzil downtown dubai to experience a night in their newly renovated upscale boutique hotel managed by Vida Hotels and Resorts.

Manzil was closed for renovation in 2014, and re-opened in December 2014.

 

Upon my arrival, we were welcomed with smiles and flowers all over the place. Those flowers arrangements are just breath-taking. In addition to this beauty, there was the Arabic coffee as well as cold towels and refreshment juice.

Manzil, which is Arabic to the word ‘home’ has an Arabic design and feel to it. To those seeking modern with an arabic twist, this it it.

To those who know me, I care ALOT about the service especially in hotels. The staff at the reception were very friendly, and explained the services and breakfast very well. They were fast and efficient – I arrived early and was lucky to have my room ready right away.

I got a room on the fourth floor with a great view (Not the one on top, this is a shot I took from outside the first floor). The room was averagely sized, good for one person and ‘ok’ for two. Comfortable beds, nicely designed.

Wall-mounted satellite LCD TVs, free bottled water and free coffee and tea facilities are standard in all rooms.

The one thing that could be an issue to some is privacy in the bathroom, but I’ve stayed in hotels with similar bathroom styles with no privacy so it depends on your comfort level – shouldn’t be an issue for a single occupancy.

The pool & a bar are located on the first floor. Although the weather was excellent for a swim, I had no time to do! There is also an Arabic cuisine restaurant and a lovely terraza that we enjoyed for breakfast.

Free shuttle service can take guests to local destinations including The Dubai Mall which is located only 10 minutes away from the hotel. This, is to me one of the most attractive things about this hotel, great location! I love Boulevard Mohd Ben Rashid especially when the weather is good.

The question that all ask: Would I stay there again? Yes.
