Again in Paradise; Conrad Rangali Island, Maldives | Hello965

The Republic of Maldives, or simply the Maldives, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean. It consists of approximately 1,190 coral islands grouped in a double chain of 26 atolls, along the north-south direction, spread over roughly 90,000 square kilometers, making this one of the most disparate countries in the world.

The atolls are composed of live coral reefs and sand bars and runs from north to south.

Crystal clear waters, beautiful white sand beaches, swaying palm trees and fabulous dive sites – that’s why the Maldives, is known for being one of the best tropical holiday destinations in the world.

Summer never ends in the Maldives …

The Indian Ocean has a great effect on the climate of the country by acting as a heat buffer, absorbing, storing, and slowly releasing the tropical heat. The temperature of Maldives ranges between 24 °C (75 °F) and 33 °C (91 °F) throughout the year. Although the humidity is relatively high, the constant cool sea breezes keep the air moving and the heat mitigated. It does have seasons though (rain and sunny seasons!)

My second visit was in the shoulder season (Rain!), and that is in early October. The highest season to visit the Maldives is from December to April where its mostly sunny and shiny!

Resorts in the Maldives

Each resort in the Maldives is housed on a separate island by itself and offers an exotic blend of modern luxury and isolated serenity.

This is my firth resort experience.. There are as of now (writing this post) 150 resorts in the Maldives!

Conrad Maldives

The first part of my second visit was a stay with the Conrad Maldives where the hotel had hosted me for three beautiful sunny nights.

Arrival to the Island

From Kuwait, I’ve booked on a flight to Male International Airport, Maldives. From Male, the hotel have organized my sea plane transfer (30 minutes) to the resort.

We’ve arrived to a massive 2 islands resort!! The two islands are connected by a bridge, and each Island has villas, restaurants, spa, bars and pool. Amazing!

Our villa was in the second island which is called “the quiet zone” and this is the adults only zone. Love it! I’m also a bit of an active person, so I also enjoyed the walk from the second island to the main island. To those who prefer not to walk, a buggy car or a cart is always a call away.. (sometimes they take a while to arrive, so plan to give them a call ahead).

The overwater villa was convenient and great for 2 adults, it is spacious, with comfortable bed, a walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom, an amazing bath tub overlooking the amazing blue water and most importantly the jacuzzi in the balcony!! It was just lovely. The patio/terrace was my favorite spot, i spent a lot of time in the villa enjoying the weather when it was sunny especially.

I, infect, started writing this post at 6 PM in the Jacuzzi, watching the sunset. Yasss.. I truly live for moments like this one!!!!!!

Conrad Maldives has 12 world-class restaurants and bars which serve an assortment of international, Mediterranean and grilled dishes.

Conrad Rangali Island’s villas are packed full of comforts, including free Wi-Fi (fast! Good for writing my posts haha), flat-screen TVs and DVD players. Beautiful sea or beach views are framed through wooden floor-to-ceiling windows! Beautiful!

I unfortunately did not try their famous all-glass underwater Ithaa Restaurant and 2 award-winning spas, but I sure did pass by to have a look! Beautiful spots!

The food is amazing, everything I tried was good and tasty.  The prices aren’t cheap but all the food was up to the standards of a 5* restaurant for sure.

Both pools are amazing and offer infinity views – snorkels and paddle boards amongst other water activities were available too!

The beaches are private and beautiful, you never have to fight for beach chairs and the water is pristine all over the two islands.

I’m read also and seen some pictures before about private dinners ofcourse and special occasions arrangement for those who need it.

All those experiences apart, what I truly very much enjoyed the fact that white sand beach covers the entire resort!!  You can literally walk barefoot all day if you wanted to. Ultimate happy-ness.

VERDICT:

I was truly impressed with how big and the amount of options for things to explore at the Conrad Maldives – I really liked the place!

I would recommend it for a 3-4 nights to couples, groups of girls, solo travelers, families with teenagers, and older couples too!

Thank you again the Conrad and Hilton Hotels for the great experience, and I look forward to experience more of your beautiful hotels around the world!
