Four Seasons des Bergues Geneva, Switzerland

Hello hello hello!

Back in Geneva for a couple of nights first with the tourism board and second for my last night in Europe before heading back to Kuwait! In both times in Geneva, I was hosted by the Four Seasons des Bergues Geneva!

This luxurious historic property is perfectly located, has spacious suites and a rooftop Japanese restaurant! Let’s dig deeper into this sentence, shall we?

Ofcourse, in every city/area I stay at, one of the very important things I consider is location. The hotel is 4.5 km rom Geneva Airport, and in a great location facing the river and the fountain! It is located in the centre of Geneva, 10 minutes walk from the train station and just beside the Mont Blanc Bus Stop.

Lets see.. the rooms.. I love waking up to see views. I love having my coffee and looking at something nice (who doesn’t, right?). I very much enjoyed the suites I stayed at in both times I stayed here. High ceiling, elegant style with classic furnishings.

That said, I care a lot about the service. Needles to say, the service in all four seasons properties is just lovely. This Four Seasons was no different, the service was great from check-in until check-out. I love the little details that hotels do sometimes; when I arrived to the hotel, the door-man opened the car door and welcomed me by name: (Welcome back to the Four Seasons, Ms AlMattar!).. I’m not going to lie, this felt really, really special! Always.

I also really enjoyed using the fitness center; it has most of the equipment you need! (water, towels and even headsets are available to use.)

Ive experienced breakfast at the restaurant/buffet in the ground floor and in-room breakfast; both were great! It really depends on your preference and where would you like to eat, I always prefer to go to the breakfast buffet and see people in the morning, but yet again, with a beautiful view in your room I couldn’t resist but to take that one last in-room breakfast and pamper myself a bit. Totally worth it.

Izumi, Japanese Fusion (Japanese Peruvian) restaurant at the rooftop (And indoors when its raining or too cold for a roof stay).

I went for dinner, sunset dinner to be exact, and caught a beautiful sunset. amongst the dishes I tried and absolutely loved were: Brittany Lobster and Baby Spinach Salad with Yuzu Truffle dressing and Roasted Scampi, Shisho dressing! Don’t forget to get the Creme brûlée and Mochi icecream!

Home away from home.. Thank you!
