Here’s an updated list for Miami! My last list was around 10 years ago sooo.. a refresh is due!

Miami has different parts to it, so I’ll divide the list to areas to discover and some of the restaurants in each area. I would say you could easily stay in Miami for up to 7 days and still have more to see but you’ll find recommendations below for 3 days in Miami (or depending on how you divide them!)

 

Wynwood:

  • Uchi Miami (Japanese)
  • Le Chick (famous for fried chicken and burgers)
  • KYU (Modern Asian barbecue) – Buzzed for its beef ribs, roasted cauliflower, and chic industrial ambiance
  • Sala De Despecho (Mexican, late-night vibe) – A newer Wynwood favorite for big groups, dancing, and people-watching
  • Double Knot Miami (Japanese izakaya) – Loved for simple skewers and sushi, ideal for casual dinners or group dining
  • R House (Eclectic, art-gallery vibe) – Blends art, lounge atmosphere with globally inspired dishes, like Brazilian moqueca

Midtown and Design District:

  • Mandolin Aegean Bistro (Greek Mediterranean) – Loved for its outdoor seating and dishes like grilled octopus and halloumi
  • Black Brick (Asian Fusion)
  • Mother Wolf Miami (Italian, Roman-influenced) – Praised for its refined Roman-style Italian fare
  • Cote Miami (Korean steakhouse, fine dining) – Famous for its steak grilling experience and the “Butcher’s Feast” tasting menu
  • L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon (Michelin-starred French) – Noted for its futuristic interior, counter seating, and romantic vibe

  • Sadelle’s Coconut Grove (American brunch queens) – Known for its iconic bagel tower and towering French toast; a brunch hotspot by the team behind Carbone.

  • Barra Callao (Peruvian – exceptional ceviche counter)
    Known for beautifully plated, citrus-forward ceviche served at a cozy, walk-up counter
  • Panya Thai (Thai – standout Thai classics)
    Celebrated for its exemplary jumping squid, boat noodle soup, and consistently strong Thai dishes
  • Korean Kitchen (Korean – hearty Korean comfort food)
    Beloved for bibimbap in a hot stone bowl, tasty wings, kimchi, and budae jjigae, with solid outdoor seating and takeout vibes
